.Hellllllooo Everyone 🙂
This outfit is a little bit of a throw back to the Easter weekend but I needed to share it with you all because it is absolutely gorgeous. I am obsessed with my new ruffled top! I love the off-the-shoulder concept. It helps to add some asymmetrical flattery to the outfit. Ruffles are one of the key trends in fashion this month, decorating necklines, skirts, blouses and even jackets. They are flouncy frills aplenty at shows like House of Holland, Michael Kors and Mulberry.
If you are not a jewelry lover and are trying to find a way to spice of your outfit, then the ruffle trend is perfect for you! It helps to add the accessory aspect of an outfit by adding volume and “pizzazz” 🙂 According to In Style magazine ruffles help to frame the face or add spiraling details off the hips. Architectural ruffles build the foundation of a dramatic evening look. The stiff, austere waves are more modern than the floppier furls of past seasons, making this feminine detail of the ruffle feel new again.
I decided to compliment the blue pastel colours and pare it with a soft pink purse and white slimming pants. I found this combination really helped bring out the dramatic ruffle accents of the top. To finish off my outfit I needed to add a fun piece! I always try and add a patterned piece or a fun piece to an outfit to help spice it up. I call it “Maria’s Touch” :). I love these multicoloured poka-dot flats! They are so adorable and flattering!
