As the winter season starts to wind down and the spring buds start to bloom, I can’t help but to reach for the most colourful pieces in my wardrobe. I love wearing colourful pieces for spring. While I always the first to grab a cute pastel piece for easter, I also love to gravitate towards bold and bright colours. There is something about a colourful gingham piece that just gets me for the spring and summer time. I first saw this coat during the Kate Spade SS 2020 runway and just had to get my hands on it. I waited intently for it to arrive in stores. Then I stocked it until it went on sale. Guilty. The bold gingham pattern just screams spring and happiness. My wardrobe is so colourful I knew it would not have a problem styling it.
Some of the biggest colour trends to look out for this spring and summer season is pastel yellow, bubblegum pink, magenta, orange, and lime green. If worn tasteful, these colours will be sure to make a bold pop is your wardrobe this year.
