There are a lot of fashion trends that come and go. Whether it’s a print, texture, fabric, or style. As Heidi Kulm always says “In fashion, one day you’re in, the next your out“. While this quote is very applicable and very relatable to most trends out there, there is nothing more timeless than a polka dot print. If you look back to the 50s, 60s, and all the way through to the present time. There has always been a way to add a classic and chic polka dot print to your wardrobe. The older I get, the more I tend to gravitate more towards classic and timeless pieces. This polka dot blazer is by far one of my favourites in my wardrobe. One way to really make our outfit pop is by contrasting polka dots.
It is very easy for a simple print like polka dots to be added to your outfit to help make it look elevated and effortless. Pokka dots are also a very easy print to work with. You can pair it with:
- A print with different size polka dots
- Pair them with leopard, stripes, or florals
- Dress them up with heels or down with sneakers
- You can wear polka dots to the office as well as out to bring with friends
If there is one person who I can think of that styles polka dots really well, it’s Blair Eadie. She creates beautiful outfits and silhouettes. One of my favourite polka dots look from her by far is her in this stunning Carolina Herrera dress. A dress that is very similar to the outfit I am styling for you in today’s post with the contrasting polka dots. Black and white are two colours that contrast really well with one another and allow for a great statement.
