Christmas is probably one of my favourite festive seasons of the year. Everything is so pretty, they streets are lit and everything is bright and glittery. The holiday season is a great time in the year to spend time with family and friends. One of my favourite things to do during the holidays is bake and decorate. I remember in school as a kid making Christmas decorations during art class and even in girl guides doing Christmas arts and crafts every week. As I got older, I veered from my crafty side and settled to just buy my Christmas decorations. This year I decided to get back into the Christmas crafty spirit and whip something up.
Everyone loves a good Christmas candle. Cinnamon, Christmas tree, vanilla bean, you name it it all smells amazing! I love snuggling up by the Christmas tree, light some of my favourite Christmas candles and watch a good traditional Christmas movie 🙂 🎄 . I love looking for sparkly and festive candle holders, so this year I decided to make my own!
Here is what you need:
1.Candels
2.Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
3.Garland
4.Ornaments (or any other decorations)
Step 1: Take the garnish and wrap them into little wreaths. Make sure to size them to the candle you would like to fit them with. You don’t want to make them to small or too big.
Step 2: Once you have your little wreath, warm up your glue gun and start taking your decorations and place them around the wreath to your liking.
Step 3: Let the wreaths set and dry. Once they are ready place the candles in them and place them on your coffee tables or anywhere where they can be on display!
Thats it! There wasn’t a lot of work put into this DIY and it turned out so beautiful and also very cost effective. I know a lot of people say “its cheaper to buy decorations because you have to buy everything individually which adds up the cost”. You are absolutely right on that, but what if I told you that you can buy all of these items at the dollar store! Or what about that extra garland and extra Christmas ornaments that don’t get used anymore? Get your inner craftsman to work and start an easy, simple, and cost effective DIY for the holiday season ❄️ 🌲 .
