Modest and floral dresses have made a comeback in the fashion world. In the 70s Victorian handcrafted patterns influences the decade. There were so many beautiful dress patterns and flowing fabrics that rapidly spread the romantic aesthetic to younger women. The revival of comfortable, romantic dresses and fashion accessories in vintage florals prints have been making a great comeback this year. I have stepped away from the trend of only wearing florals in the spring and summertime. Even though living in Canada we may not see a lot of flowers from mother nature. They are sure to make everything brighter when worn on your garments.
Florals are definitely a dominant print in my wardrobe. It’s one of the first prints I gravitate to. Recently I have fallen in love with vintage fashion and trying to find pieces that resemble floral garments from the 60s and 70s. This recent fascination might come from my love for watching Mrs. Maizel on Amazon Prime. But I also think it stems from loving very feminine and classic styles. This particular dress right here is one of my favourites this season. It is very affordable and can be worn in so many different ways.
I love a good print and when it comes to styling vintage florals I love add subtle pieces. For example, when it comes to coats, boots, and purses in the wintertime, I love to stick with neutrals such as white, black, or soft pastels. This allows the print to really pop and make a statement. In the summertime, it’s easier to just add some sandals and a straw hat look fabulous!
