I remember growing up I always wanted to be a ballerina. Now, as we get older most girls tend to put their tulle skirts away. Well, not this gal! If anything I think I have more tulle skirts as an adult then I did as a child. The number one question I get asked when I am wearing a tulle skirt is “where the heck do you think you’re going?“. A tulle skirt is definitely an out-there piece, and I definitely would not wear it to the office. But I do believe, if styled correctly, you can wear tulle skirts out on the streets looking fabulous! I am going to share with you a few easy ways on how to style a tulle skirt.
In this outfit right here is all about the glitz and glam. I decided to bring two bold pieces together; tulle and sequins. Is it crazy? Sure! Am I absolutely in love with it? Heck yes! I mean if you are going to go out there and wear a tulle skirt, you can go all the way and add some sequins. It is such a great party look and you will definitely be a show stopper once you walk into the room.
Another way I love to style tulle skirts is by pairing it with a cute and chic blazer. I have styled it this way in two different looks on the blog. The first time I decided to add a gingham blazer which was a great way to add some texture into the outfit. Because I have a very girly and feminine style, I styled was with a soft polka dot tweed jacket. This look was so darling was a really cute way to tie the whole outfit together with the tulle skirt.
So one of my favourite ways to make a tulle skirt work is by pairing it with a leather jacket. Leather jackets are fierce, chic, and very fashion-forward. The minute you walk into any establishment with a leather jacket and tulle skirt, people will know you mean business. Therefore, you will also be looking 100% fashionable!
Next time you see your self pondering over a tulle skirt, just do it. Purchase a tulle skirt, try it on with everything in your closet and rock it girl! Trust me you will feel like a princess, and if everyone is watching it just means your fabulous!
