Fast fashion is having it’s time right now. I will admit it for myself, I was all about fast fashion and buying items that are on trend, quirky and fun. However, that life was not only sustainable for our planet, it was not sustainable for myself and my bank account. My switch from quantity to quality in my wardrobe has made a huge difference and also offered satisfaction.
I was reading a CBC article recently saying that the corona virus pandemic has demonstrated how broken the fashion industry is. It also explains how we need to fix it and move forward. I couldn’t agree more. Not only am I started to take a recent shift for my wardrobe, but I want to start making the shift around my blog. It’s great to get new dresses and shop for beautiful items. However, I know for myself I became more of a hoarder (because I loved everything) and never really appreciated my items. My shift has allowed me to invest in classic pieces and appreciate the items I have and make sure they last in my wardrobe for a long time.
