The season of fall is all about layering. One of my favourite things about layering is mixing and matching different patterns or bold colours together. I would have to say that one of my favourite patterns to mix and match are florals and plaids. They are both very different but compliment each other very well. I have mixed and matched leopard and florals, and leopard and polka dots before quite well. With this outfit here, I absolutely love the contrast with the blue and the red florals. It’s such a vibrant print, which is why I went for a more subtle plaid pattern for the jacket. Pattern mixing with blazers & dresses had been favourite thing to do every fall.
This year the fall leaves really popped out. The colours were so vibrant and because we have been in quarantine and have a little more time on our hands I feel like I actually had great opportunity to out and explore the foliage a lot more. We found this cute little trail not too far from home and I thought why not put on a pretty dress and head out for the day!
