Welcome to the new Q&A series on the blog! I have been wanting to share something like this with all of you for quite some time now. I love creating content and I love the engagement I get from all of you. A lot of you love to reach out and ask questions and create conversation, and I absolutely love that! To help to get to know me better I thought I would share some of the questions I receive from all of you each month and share my answers for others who would love to know. To kick off this new Q&A April series I thought I would answer the top 5 questions I got asked this month!
1. What spring fashion items are you most excited about?
This is such a tough question for me! Spring fashion is one of my favourites because it’s the first time after the long winter you get to dress in fun pastels and florals. But the fashion item I am most excited about is probably wearing all my dresses and espadrilles. I literally live in dresses and they are so comfortable and easy to wear. Every time I see espadrilles it just screams “warm weather” which obviously gets me excited for the springtime. I can’t just choose 1 so I will have to narrow it down to these two
2. How do you stay organized?
This is a good question and definitely not a skill I mastered overnight. Working a full-time job, blogging part-time and trying to launch a digital magazine definitely had me busy! The only way I stay organized is by always planning ahead and writing things down in my planner. Every single Sunday I sit down and write out my to-do’s for the week and I like to cross everything off my checklist once it’s complete. The only free time I have is evenings and weekends to work on the blog/magazine. I find if I don’t write things down and schedule events in my calendar I feel very unproductive and usually forget to do half the things I need to get done!.
3. What’s your favourite healthy snack alternatives?
I am probably the worlds biggest snacker (as I currently crunch on a granola bar). It’s so easy for me to slip into a very sweet or very salty craving and run to grab the nearest bag of chips or container of ice cream. Grocery shopping with me can definitely be a nightmare (ask Gavin). But I have found a bunch of healthy alternatives to help my cravings.
When I am feeling something sweet I will reach out for some fruit. If I want some ice cream I will take some frozen fruit and blend it into an ice smoothie. It’s such a refreshing treat for the summer time. When I am craving a salty snack I like to boil some edamame and lightly salt them. It is literally my favourite snack in the whole world! I usually have a bowl of edamame every single day once I get home from work.
4. What are your favourite songs that never fail to put you in a good mood?
Oh my goodness, there are so many. Currently, its Walk Me Home by Pink. I have been listening to this song on repeat since it came out!
5. Favourite beach vacation spot?
My favourite beach vacation has to be the Bahamas! Everything about the Bahamas is amazing! I would definitely go back in a heartbeat. This summer Gavin and I have a beach trip to West Palm Beach, Florida. I haven’t been to Florida in about 11 years so I’m hoping this trip is equally as amazing as my trip to the Bahamas 2 years ago.
