As you know, I love silk scarves. Not only do I love to collect these beauties, but I also love styling them in different ways and love to wear them from time to time. If you are interested in seeing how I love to style my scarves I wrote a post a while back sharing how I style them 3 different ways. Whether tied on my handbag, in my hair or around my neck, I think silk scarves make the perfect addition to just about any look.
During the fall and winter months, it is so easy to accessorize with layers on layers. In the summer time I find it harder because of the heat and humidity. I am always looking to wear lighter fabrics and the least amount of layers as possible. The ease of the summer time allows me to just throw on a summer dress, sandals, and walk out the door. However, while I still love to accessorize and weather bright and fun colours, I need to do it in a smarter way. Hense why I love silk scarves. They are light weight, versatile, and a great way to add colour. Sometimes I start my day with the scarf around my neck, then by the afternoon it’s in my hair or around my purse. Either way it is an eye catcher and a show stopper!
Some of my favourite silk scarves are by a local and fellow blogger of mine Maria East. She runs the shop Up and Away. She designs all of the scarves herself and they are just adorable!
