Nothing makes a woman’s wardrobe feel polished and sophisticated more than a tweed jacket. I think the tweed jackets are one of the greatest investments for cold seasons. It is made of warm and sturdy fabrics. I think it’s an essential piece for wearing in one’s wardrobe during cold fall and winter months. While no one beats the timeless cut and shape of a Chanel tweed jacket, it’s not hard to find a well made and well-priced piece elsewhere. You may recall my obsession with tweed jackets from early last year. This gorgeous sky blue jacket is still a favourite of mine.
When I was younger I always admired women in tweed jackets walking the streets of downtown. Running from one meeting to another. I always told myself, when I got my first job in a corporate office I would need to make an investment and purchase a tweed jacket for myself. And that’s exactly what I did. I was so excited I ran to Zara and picked out a beautiful pearly white tweed jacket with embellished buttons. I have since grown my collection and with teach piece I put on my obsession grows. Tweed is a fabric that has made it into my closet in more than just jackets. I have invested in skirts, dresses, pants, and even ballerina shoes.
