It Is easy to tend to wear so many different layers in the fall and winter to help keep warm. We still want to define our waist and the best way to do that instead of drowning yourself into those chunky knits is to throw on a belt. This little add-on adds so much when it comes to elevating your style. It helps to slim your silhouette into a flattering hourglass. It really helps to define your waistline which helps to add some depth and curvature to your look. Also by wearing a belt to cinch your waist you instantly up the chic factor. While it is easy to throw on a belt over a dress or cardigan I love throwing them over my jackets. I find, that with the right belts, it looks more elegant and high fashion.
Earrings
Everyone has a favourite accessory they love to wear. Mine is my far statement earrings. I love the glamour and dramatic aspect that add to any outfit. Earrings are great for many things. For starters, they help hide the fact that you’re having a bad hair day. Throw your hair in a bun, show off a gorgeous pair of earrings and you’re done. No one will ever notice our hair! One of my favourite days to dress up my fall wardrobe from day to night is by throwing on a pair of statement earrings. It is the easiest way to go from boardroom to drinks with friends.
Berets
Berets are the perfect and classic French accessory. I can probably predict that berets will be “the” accessory every girl will be wearing this winter. This year I have purchased so many different colours of berets because I love matching them with all of my different colourful outfits. I will post similar photos right here of how I have styled them throughout the fall season thus far. Berets have probably been my most worn and overused accessory this month. I have literally been obsessed with having them match with what I am wearing. One of the most popular ways to wear a beret is to barely cover your hairline on your forehead. Then, tilt the beret to one side. You might also want to position it slightly farther back on your head. The way I love to style them, unlike others is right on top of my head, dead centre and having the front rim line up with my hairline. Next time you have a simple outfit on, try wearing a colourful beret and watch how many compliments you get.
Colourful Bags
First off you can never have too many handbags because they are a fabulous accessory. One of the easiest ways to look trendy with little effort is to dress all in black with some white to help contrast and the best accessory to style is a colourful bag. Having a black and white base without outfit will really help your bag pop and make it the statement piece for your fall look. A lot of people tend to stick with neutral colours when shopping for handbags because they simply cannot think of a colour or two that would match with their entire wardrobe. Just always remember what colour works for you and think of all the different ways you can style it and wear it throughout the season.
Studded Boots
If you don’t like big accessories but instead like subtle little details then your best accessory is a studded boot. Studded boots always bring an edgier vibe to your outfits and are definitely more of a fall boot. I always love pairing my studded boots with my leather jacket to give it more of a biker chic vibe. You can even wear them with long trench coats and dresses.
Scarves
Scarves are a great way to add pattern and texture to your look. I am sure we have all been that person scrolling through our Pinterest boards in the fall to try and find those perfect fall fashion looks. The number one best thing about a plaid scarf is that it’s cozy and keeps you warm. The second best thing is that you can literally wear it with anything. My sister is the queen of plaid scarves and chunky knits. I no longer need to go shopping for them because I know I’ll find what I’m looking for in her closet. The best things about scarves in my books is when I am in a rush in the morning I can always throw on a colourful or printed scarf to add some colour and make my outfit a little more chic while hiding my tired baggy eyes.
