Something you may not have known about me is that I have a twin sister. I don’t normally share a lot about my personal life on the blog as I like to keep it mainly about fashion. However, sometimes I like to share a little bit more with you. A few weeks ago we celebrated out 28th birthday together and enjoyed a night out together and got all dressed up. My sister and I are fraternal twins. We don’t have a lot in common but one of the things we do have in common is that we love to get dressed up and go for dinner.
My sisters name is Francesca. She is the older twin (by a minute) and will always hold it against me. She hates pink (I KNOW… ) but loves red. Her closet consists of black clothing with a little bit of dark colours only. WHile my closet looks like a pastel rainbow. Most people think we look nothing a like and a small percentage of the population think we look identical. As we got older I would say there are more similar features, however I would never think we look identical.
If you’re wondering if people would always get us mixed up even though we are fraternal, the answer is yes. This answer puzzles me too, but I think once people hear the word twins, their mind gets confused and they start mixing and matching the names. Happens to the best of us!
Being able to read each others minds and feel each others feelings is also a myth when it comes to twins. I mean sure, I know my sister is in a bad mood when I see her facial expression. However if we aren’t in the same room, I literally have no idea how she is feeling.
Here are a few specifics things to know about my sister:
- She loves to read
- Her obsession towards Harry Potter and Disney princesses is pretty much on par with my obsession with dresses
- She is an elementary school teacher
- As mentioned, she hastes pink. (I say it twice because I still don’t understand it…)
Even though she’s my twin sister and our personalities and characters are completely different we are still each others best friends :).
