Are you looking for something new to do in the summertime? Tired of doing the same old things? I love finding new activities and places to see and visit during the summer. I have always seen gorgeous photos from Provence of their endless lavender fields that they have this time of year. Little did I know that Canada had lavender fields as well! I love the smell of lavender. It’s perfect in my shampoo, body lotion, and even candles!
Since lavender only blooms in July here in Ontario, I knew I had to make time this year to head over to the lavender farms and take in all its beauty. There are many different locations where you can visit lavender farms here in Ontario but we decided to visit Terre Bleu. I had heard so many great things about this farm so I was very eager to check it out. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend going. Their service is amazing and everyone who works there is always happy and really pleasant. It makes your experience there that much better!
Like I said before, high season for lavender is in July. This is the perfect time to visit the farm, learn all about how they grow their organic lavender and take gorgeous pictures of course :). Terre Bleu is the largest lavender farm in Ontario and makes their very own organic handmade products using the freshly grown lavender on the farm. How cool is that?
While you are visiting the farm it would be a shame not to take stunning pictures beside the pretty purple plants! This dress that I wore contrasts perfectly with the purple colour of the plant. Like I have mentioned before I absolutely love dresses that have a good twirl. This one is perfect for summer because it is flowy, figure flattering, and perfect for a beautiful summer day.
