For the longest time growing up and experimenting with fashion, my favourite part to any outfit was being able to accessorize it. While I look back at many photos and wonder how I ever left the house looking like that, I have narrowed it down and taught myself how to tastefully accessorize my outfits. I am going to show you how I accessorize my outfits everyday. I remember as a little girl running around the house wearing every necklace I owned. While I have learnt quality or quantity, my enthusiasm over accessorizing has remained the same.
Simplicity is Key
First rule for myself when it comes to accessorizing is understanding that simplicity is key. Putting the right accessories together is a basic fashion skill. Once you’ve got it down, you’ll always look great in whatever you wear. The best part is that you can find incredible accessories at any budget, so it’s a great way to stretch your wardrobe and save money.
Over Sized Earrings
One of my favourite accessories I add to any outfit are over sized earrings. They are a great way to dress up a casual or formal outfit. I tend to really like my shoulder structure and I find that wearing large earrings tends to pull a lot of focus to that region. Plus, because of my petite frame, but wider hips, I feel like wearing over sized earrings really helps to create a balance to my outfits and over all look. Plus the really sparkly ones are so fun to wear!
Matching Colour Scheme
Another way I love to accessorize my outfits is by matching with the colour scheme. With this outfit right here I decided to match my dress with red accessories. Earrings, shoes, and lipstick. With my purse I decided to go with a neutral colour because I thought it would have been too much to colour coordinate the purse. I wanted all the attention on the dress because of the beautiful print. But tastefully accessorizing the accessories around it. This look is very similar to the outfit I styled in Palm Beach with my red skirt. Whenever an outfit’s main colour is red, I love accessorizing with it. It always makes me feel like I am on vacation.
