One of the things I miss doing since quarantine came into effect, was date nights. Gavin and I just came to the realization that for our anniversary dinner in January we will not be able to head to the same restaurant we go to every year. This restaurant was the restaurant Gavin took me our first date. It’s been the location for our anniversary dinner every year. However, this year it looks like we will be ordering in from there instead of going. Nevertheless, one of the things I always loved was being able to dress up, wear a pretty dress, maybe some sparkle, and a fun lipstick for a special event. I am not going to let COVID ruin any date night we have though. So today I am going to share with you one of my favourite romantic makeup look.
One of m favourite lipstick colours to wear is red. I love to trend with seasonal colours. The summer is full of pinks and corals. But with winter, I love wearing reds and maroon colours. Something a dark velvet red lipstick colour just live your look a more romantic and seductive feel.
Lipstick
Now if you know me well, you know my make up routine is pretty plain Jane. I stick to the routine, but spice it up or down based on the occasion. One of the things you need to add to your romantic make up look is a dark lip. I chose red. My favourite is the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick. Eye Shadow
One of my favourite make up palettes to play with are eye shadow palettes. I remember as a little girl, getting a palette from the drug store, going home and sitting in front of my mirror for hours teaching myself how to do a smoky eye. I may not be the best at it but I just love doing it so much. For your romantic make up look, depending on your skin complexion I would highly recommend a smoky eye. I love playing around with browns and neutrals. My new recent favourite eye shadow palette is the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Palette.
Blush & Bronzer
Blush and bronzers are perfect for highlighting facial features. I love going for gold and shimmer tones.
