Meet plaid’s cousin, tartan! I love dressing up for the holiday’s and what screams holidays more than a good tartan item? Tartan is a great pattern to wear all year long but for myself, I love to save it for the holiday’s because it is such a festive pattern. It reminds me of a family coordinating their outfits for a holiday picture. I used to love wearing my tartan dress as a little girl around the holidays and even now as a grown up! It’s totally possible to transform it into a grown-up appropriate look to celebrate the season. This year I think I have gone a little overboard with how many tartan items I have collected for the season. I have included some of the best and (not purchased) my favourite tartan items for the holidays.
As you know I am a sucker for anything with a bow on it and I have had my eye on these J. Crew flats for a long time. They are perfect to style with any outfit for the holidays. Recently, I have been all about blazers and this one is perfect to make any one of your outfits preppy for the holidays.
