Fall is finally here and that means it’s time to get rid of the shorts and bring out some cute scarves and fun dusters for the season. Fall is one of my favourite seasons because it brings out beautiful leaves, warm cozy sweaters, and pumpkin flavoured desserts. Currently in Toronto, it is not feeling much like fall at all. It is still very humid and sunny. Yesterday I was in shorts and a tank top! I know its almost October and we are sweating in Toronto. It’s crazy! A few weeks ago, it felt like the seasons were changing and the air was starting to cool down so I decided to change up my wardrobe and bring out all my fall sweaters. Unfortunately, I jumped ahead of myself and Mother Nature played a dirty trick on me! Any who, I can’t complain much because I know Canadian winters tend to be really cold and windy, so I will continue to enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.
Over the past few years Toronto started introducing flower markets across the city throughout the spring and summer season. The flowers sold at these markets are fresh and locally grown by Ontario farmers who come together to sell their gorgeous display. Let me tell you, I could have bought the whole market! All the fresh flowers and beautiful colours, it was like walking through heaven! Of course I picked up some pink and white flowers, they were too cute to not pick them up!
For today’s look I decided to style my favourite lace dress for fall. I picked up this white dress from H&M a few years back. It is a little thicket and not light weight and it also has a bit of a turtle neck so it helps to keep you warm on those colder days. I decided to stick with a neutral palette and wear my gold Kate Spade loafers with my beige duster from Boohoo.
