Now that daylight savings has kicked in for spring, I am in full on spring mode! Yes, we may still have snow here on the ground in Toronto, but I can’t help but get excited. With the weather settling down over the next few weeks, the snow is bound to melt away while the buds start to bloom on all the trees! While I love cuddling in cozy knits, light layers and dresses are definitely my closet staples. I was so happy to finally be able to throw on a beautiful tweed jacket with this flowy floral dress. Twirling in tweed is such an elegant look!
Two of the trends that get me really excited for springtime are florals and pastels. As much as these two trends are not groundbreaking for spring, I absolutely love them and they make my wardrobe and outfits look and feel fresh! While I know that for most people blazers are a staple in their wardrobe, I would trade it in for a fitted tweed jacket any day. Tweed jackets offer a more elegant and sophisticated look to your outfit. I remember purchasing my first tweed jacket the day I got my first corporate job. I had always told myself that when I got my first job, that was the day I could purchase my first tweed jacket. Granted, it’s no Chanel but we all need to start somewhere.
