If you have been following me on social media, then you probably know I have been obsessed with finding new facial products for my skincare routine. I started really taking care of my skin over the past few months. Prior to that, I would just use basic drug store moisturizers and facial cleansers. To be honest, I found skin care quite intimidating. There are so many products out there and how is one to know which one to choose? Over the past few months, with trial and error and recommendations I have now have an updated skincare routine.
Recently, I have also attended a few facial treatments. I was able to get a skin diagnosis from a dermatologist and was recommended the right products. The one skincare brand that I was recently introduced to was Dermalogica. Their skincare products are amazing. Truthfully, I found them to be a bit expensive for my price range but definitely worth it. I was prescribed their intensive moisturizer balance cream because I have very dry skin. One of my biggest complaints is my acne scars, acne, and redness. I was told by having the right moisturizer could help treat all those things. After a few months of using the products, I have noticed a dramatic difference.
Some other products I use are the following:
Bio Oil: I love using bio oil during my nighttime skincare routine. Like I have said above I have a lot of acne scares around my cheeks and Bio Oil has really helped to get rid of the scares.
Vitamine E: Between the Bio Oil and my vitamin E serum I am always alternating between the two during my night time skincare routine. Vitamin E is really good to help moisturize and help repair scarring. There is no reason why I alternate, I just found this to work for me through trial and error.
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Scrub: I have been using exfoliants for a while now because they really help to get rid of anything unwanted as well as help to soften the skin. This microfoliant was prescribed to me because a lot of the exfoliants out there can be quite rough for your skin and cause breakouts. By using a more gentle exfoliant I still get the benefits except without the harsh repercussions of acne.
The Ordinary Toner: This brand came very recommended across the influencer space and so many people had great reviews on it so I decided to try it out. I love using a toner, both in the morning and night, to help decrease the redness. I also love using some of the Garnier cleansers I used to use during my morning routine.
Collagen & Vitamin A: I love using collagen and vitamin A in the morning because collagen helps to produce glowing and vibrant skin. The essential proteins help to provide elasticity to the skin, helping it to appear more youthful and healthy. It really helps to brighten up my face in the morning before I start my day.
