Hello there and happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! The weather here in Toronto was absolutely amazing! Before I get on with today’s post I want to apologize for not being regular and posting on Friday! I have been super busy lately and I had to attend certain events and time was not on my side, but I am back this week with some amazing content to share with you all!
This past weekend was probably one of the best birthday weekends ever! I had my best friend and boy friend shower me with the birthday surprises and events. I had the pleasure of visiting Her Majesty’s Pleasure and getting one of their fabulous blow outs and enjoying a night out with great friends! Next week Gavin is taking me on a wine tour for my birthday present so stay tuned for a post on that! Its going to be amazing. I have wanted to do a wine tour for a very long time now so I am super excited about this one! 🙂
Today’s post is all about styling your hair and finding the best look to go with an outfit. With the summer weather being really warm and high of humidity, it gets difficult wearing your hair a certain style. I have very curly hair and on those hot summer days, my hair gets very curly and very voluminous! I typically like to wear my hair in a pony-tail or a braid on these days so I can still incorporate a cute look for my outfit. I styled three different hair styles with one of my favourite summer dresses. I bought this dress a few years back in New York City at a little boutique in Soho. It’s one of my favourite summer pieces and a very simple, yet fun and elegant dress. You can dress it up or dress it down for any occasion.
1. Side Braid
With this first style I tied it up in a loose braid to the side. This sleek braid helps give it a cute and playful look.
2. Up-Do
This next summer hair do is one of my go-to. The quick and easy “put-your-hair-in-a-bun” look. On a hot day, this look is very refreshing. Having your hair up in a bun allows people to focus on the fun aspect of this dress which is this cute bow detail on the back! This is a perfect look for a night out in the town or just grabbing drinks with your friends at a bar.
3. Beach Waves
There is nothing sexier than gorgeous beach waves for summer. Letting your hair down gives you a beautiful and fun look. My hair is not to long, so this look doesn’t take too much away from the detailing on the back of the dress. This look is perfect for a day-to-night look. You can start off the day wearing mules, then slip on a pair of heels for the night time. Its perfect, gorgeous, and fun! 🙂
What are your favourite summer hair styles? How do you deal with the heat?
