We all know what jewelry can do for an outfit, but what if jewelry isn’t an option? How can you still make your outfit look glamorous? Often in the mornings, I find myself rushing out the door! I constantly find myself forgetting that one piece of statement jewelry that would tie my whole outfit together. I am going to share with you some simple and easy tricks to add glam to your outfit and learn to accessorize without jewelry!

1. Accessorize Your Clothes
This is by far my favourite way to accessorize my outfit. When you purchase clothing with minor embellishments; such a built-in belt, larger buttons, or a prominent collar, you’re already on the right track to not needing extra jewelry. The goal is to have to the eye track towards your statement piece and not be overwhelmed by too many competing items. It also makes your life easier by not having to worry about dressing up these articles of clothing because they are already fabulous!
As you can see in my outfit here I took a very simple black outfit, head to toe, and chose my items wisely. Instead of throwing on my plain black blazer, I opted for my pearl embordered collar jacket. For my shoes, I chose a pair with a few gemstones. For my beret, instead of my plain grey, I chose one with a little more glitz and glam.
Now before you go into your closet and start putting all of your pre-accessorised items together in an outfit, you want to make sure you have a sense of cohesiveness. Notice in my outfit the embellishments are either pearls or gemstones. Choosing items that are similar in style is key. It gives you more of a polished and clean look. Avoid competing patterns or accessories.

2. Work Your Hair
Depending on the day, I don’t feel like wearing statement earrings or a layered necklace. However, I still want my outfit to look complete and not dull or boring. The best way to work around this is to utilize your most versatile accessory, your hair! I preach all the time that your hair is your most precious and important accessory to utilize! Instead of putting it up in a sleek bun, try letting it loose! Try adding some volume spray and running your ringlets through a curling iron. By simply letting your hair down, you’re allowing the eye to focus on something even more glamorous than jewelry! You won’t need any accessories to make a statement!

3. Wear Prints and Patterns
You already know my obsession with mixing and matching different prints and it can be used to make a statement! When your outfit is already busy with multiple prints and patterns, you don’t need to worry about adding jewelry to make a statement. In fact, adding jewelry would take away from your outfit! Your clothes are already making the statement! If mixing prints and patterns is a little too risky for you, ensure you have a least one article of clothing that can draw the eye to it. Whether it’s a bold blouse or a sequence blazer, you will be sure to still make a statement in whatever you are wearing.
