Labour day usually strikes the mark as the end of summer for most. Even though summer is coming to an end I always love to take advantage of the beautiful warm weather and what summer has to offer. Every year at the end of spring Dahlia’s are in full bloom! As you may have remembered from the spring I absolutely love picking fresh flowers. There is nothing like walking through a huge field of beautiful flowers. I love visiting my favourite farm every year, Andrew Scenic Acres. What I love most about Andrew Scenic Acres is they allow you to pick everything on your own.
There aren’t many farms around that allow you to pick your own flowers which is why this farm is so unique and special. While my favourite flowers are peonies, Delilah’s come to a close second favourite. If you check out my post on picking peonies I will share with you four of my tips on how to pick flowers. Dahlia’s are known for their huge- size body, which is about 10 inches in diameter, which makes them unique. I love all of the different vibrant colours they come in. I made sure to pick a bunch so I can spread them in vases all over the house.
This dress I wore is absolutely gorgeous and comfortable. Wrap dresses have been my staple this summer and I have worn them on several different occasions. The ruffle detailing along the trim adds a more girly and elegant flair to it. The puff sleeves give this dress more of a retro vibe which I absolutely love most. I will definitely be transitioning this dress into the fall season. You can pair it with a cute over-the-knee boot, leather jacket or jean jacket when the weather gets cooler.
