When it comes to basics, a plain white t-shirt and jeans are our best friends. They are staple items in everyone’s closet and really easy for us to dress up for any occasion. In this youtube video, I will show you the four different ways I like to dress up my t-shirt and jeans. Whether you’re going out for drinks or heading to the park, you can always find a way to look stylish and be comfortable using the basics right from your closet!
Look #1: Faux Fur
In the winter time, faux fur coats are a staple in my closet. I love all of the different colours and patterns! Adding a faux fur coat to your blank canvas of a t-shirt and jeans, it really helps to add a more glamorous and chic factor to it. Also, considering the season right now, faux fur coats tend to keep you really warm right about now. Adding to the look, I decided to go with a neutral colour jacket. Feel free to dress your outfit up with any colour or pattern of faux fur. I wanted the jacket to my the eye-catcher of the look so I decided to go with a light pink heel and my black clutch to simplify the look.
Look #2: Tweed
There is something about tweed that reminds me of the whimsical elegance of Chanel. Tweed is such a classic fabric to own. No matter what the season, or what’s in style, you can always find a way to incorporate it into your wardrobe. It can be dressed up or down, and really works for any personal style which is great for versatility. With this look, I went with a black and white plaid print with gold buttons. This really simple and polished look paired great with my black and sequin accessories. I am a sucker for adding little subtle details to a look to be a little more unique.
Look #3: Accessories
The easiest and simplest way to dress up any outfit, even something simple as a t-shirt and jeans, is with accessories! Whether its jewelry, shoes, bags, scarves, or hats, you are bound to find the right accessory that matches your style and vibe. With my outfit in the video, I decided to have my accessories match in a blush pink colour sequence. Silk scarves are so easy to throw on. You can leave them hanging around your neck, tie them in your hair or tie them in a bow around your neck.
Look #4: Graphic T
Well, this one is a given! Turn a boring look a little more fun and unique by switching your plain t-shirt for a graphic one. You can also add a striped t-shirt, coloured t-shirt, or patterned one! I love adding my favourite sneaker with my graphic t-shirts. It gives it more of a casual vibe. It is the perfect outfit to run around in on the weekends to run errands.
