We have seen them everywhere and we have even envied them. Those gorgeous braids that look like they took forever to style! Everyone wants those thick gorgeous whimsical braids that are effortlessly chic and elegant. I remember the day I taught myself how to braid my hair. I always knew how to do a regular braid outside of a ponytail, but never a French braid. I was watching television and in the film, I was watching this girl had gorgeous braids in her hair and I wanted to be able to do that for my own hair. Once I mastered it, it became my go-to summer look. Who knew it would be so easy to do!
After you have rubbed and brushed the dry shampoo throughout your hair, split your hair into two off to each side of your face.
Next, tie them off into two pigtails.
One at a time, french braid each pigtail and tie it at the end.
Once both sides are braided, cross them in the back of your head and bring them in and twist downward (almost like your making a heart shape).
Next, take as many bobby pins as you can and start pinning them to keep the braid in place.
Lastly, take hairspray to make sure there are flyaways and everything stays in place. I love using Tres Emme because I find it is the best hairspray that keeps your hair in place, but still flexible enough that it doesn’t keep your hair feeling hard and crunchy.
There you have it! A simple and easy summer hairstyle that keeps you looking trendy and cute! Say bye bye to the messy buns and say hello to the elegant braided hairstyle.
