As the season continues, the colder the weather gets outside. This past weekend Gavin and I travelled to a tree farm. Even though by the end of this trip, we did not end up with a tree, we wanted to start our own little tradition. Christmas time is one of my favourite times of the year and I love starting new traditions because it is something fun to look forward to every year. One day when we finally decide to get a place of our own, we would love to be able to cut down our own Christmas tree. Now, because we drove north of the city, the temperature tends to get a little colder so I love layering up, especially for the holidays.
This holiday season, just like any other, I have been obsessed with tartan items. This tartan scarf is the perfect piece to throw on any outfit to make it look a little more festive while still keeping warm for the winter. To Match the outfit I decided to throw on my H&M crew neck sweater with my forest green beret. As you may have noticed, my obsession with berets from the fall has slowly transitioned into the winter.
Now, by participating in outdoor activities a lot of people place their priorities on keeping warm and then looking fashionable. Even after living in Canada for 26 years, I don’t always follow that rule. A few years ago I stumbled across this pair of faux leather pants from H&M and that has a cotton lining in it which helps to keep you super warm! JACKPOT! I love wearing these in the late fall and winter because they polish off your look really nicely while keeping you really warm.
