In the last little while I have been loving the country life. Don’t get me wrong I have always been, and will always be a city girl. I was born and raised, and still today, live in the beautiful city of Toronto. Gavin, however, is definitely more of a country boy who loves the city life. In this case, you can say we are polar opposites, but we can appreciate each others different points of view. Gavin and I love going on road trips together. Most of our road trips have been to Kingston, Ontario to visit Gavin family. I won’t lie to you guys, when I first started dating Gavin, I wasn’t a fan of the country life. I never understood their type of lifestyle. I grew up walking the streets of downtown with massive amounts of people and bright lights and music everywhere. The country was so quiet, almost gave me an eery feeling.
Gavin and I have such a strong bond with one another and we can easily say we are each other’s best friend. By spending infinite amounts of time with his friends and family back home, and traveling to different little towns in Ontario, I can easily say now that I have come to appreciate the country life. Being able to learn about someone else’s life style, which can be completely different from your own, can really allow you to see the world in a different way and appreciate things you thought you never would.
This past weekend we decided to take a trip up to Uxbridge, Ontario. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Ontario, Uxbridge is about 45 minutes to an hour out of Toronto. On the way up I spotted these beautiful rolling hills! Obviously I needed to stop, take some pictures and capture the moment. My dress blended beautifully! I purchased this dress from H&M and thought it was the perfect country girl styled dress. It definitely complimented the purple wild flowers growing in the fields. I styled this dress with my new favourite bag of the season. I can’t get enough of this pink basket bag from Zara. it’s so adorable and perfect for summer.
It may be hard to tell in the background but in the distance you can see the beautiful city of Toronto skyline . You can take the girl out of the city, but you can’t take the city out of a girl. 🙂
