Happy hump day everyone!
Strawberries are definitely trending on my blog so far, mainly because they are in season and absolutely delicious! When two of my favourite foods come together, fruit and chocolate, my taste buds have a party! What else could a girl ask for?!
I remember growing up I hated strawberries. I must have had a bad batch once and never got over it until recently. I always thought they were a bitter fruit and thinking about them would make my face cringe. Now, I eat strawberries almost everyday! They taste so good with my cereal and yogurt everymorning, I can’t resist. I was wrong all along I don’t know what went over my head. I’ve been missing out on the delicious taste of strawberries for almost 20 years! Now I am making up for it by enjoying them with my best friend chocolate! Yum Yum!
These are super simple to make and doesn’t require a lot of time or patience. The best part about making these are decorating them! I could not decide what sprinkles or toppings I wanted to put on them so I bought four different kinds! Why not?! Chocolate covered strawberries are perfect on a warm summer afternoon with a nice cold glass of wine with your girlfriends, am I right ladies?
There are many ways to decorate your strawberries. You can drizzle them with chocolate, add nuts, sprinkles, or add edible sparkles and other fun decor. I decided to keep it fun and simple and pick fun sprinkles! For the chocolate I used Wilton Baking Chocolate. It comes in many different colours and flavours but if you would like to make dairy free, vegan strawberries, use dairy free chocolate for dipping. There are many delicious possibilities!
Go ahead, give it a try, their yummy! 🙂

- 1 Dozen Fresh Strawberries
- 2 Cups Wilton Baking Chocolate (Any Colour)
- Sprinkles of your choice
-
Lay out your strawberries out on a pan with parchment paper
-
Fill a medium saucepans with a couple inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Turn off the heat; set the bowls of chocolate over the water to melt. Stir until smooth.
-
Once you have gotten rid of all the chocolate lumps and you have a smooth and creamy melted texture, you may start dipping your strawberries in chocolate and decorating them with sprinkles of your choice
-
Place the wet chocolate back on to the pan with parchment paper. Once all of the strawberries are covered and decorated, place the pan in the fridge for about 15-20 minutes until the chocolate has hardened completely.
-
Serve and enjoy!
