Happy Wednesday everyone!
I hope you have all had a wonderful Halloween and spooky whether you trick or treated, or handed out candy! ๐ย As a kid I always loved Halloween because it was the perfect excuse to dress up in a princess costume, put on my moms make up and receive free candy ๐ญย ๐ฌย ! There is no better holiday for children! I defiantly have a sweet tooth so while I handed out candy last night, I definitely made sure I had some for myself! ๐
It is now the beginning of November, and you know what that means? All the Halloween candy is 50% off and all of the Christmas decorations are going up! Get ready for the holiday songs, mulled wine, christmas trees, festive activities, and don’t forget the Santa Clause parade! In Toronto every year there is a Santa parade down town Toronto. I remember going every year as a kid and getting all excited for Santa to come. I always had my wish list prepared for him with an explanation on why I was a good girl and I deserved to receive all my presents! Barbie’s were my thing as a little girl, thats all I ever wanted and that’s all I ever wanted to play with. Christmas shopping was always easy for my parents, but hard at the same time. It was easy because any Barbie made me happy, and it was hard because I always had a list that went down to the ground of how many other things I wanted for Christmas. Nevertheless, Christmas time is always a beautiful time of the year. As we are getting older now, I find it gets harder and hard to shop for people or tell people what you want. Its the question that continues to arise every year “what do you want for Christmas”. I always try to think of things that I need rather than want, but unfortunately I never seem to need anything, always WANT things. Are you the same way?
The past few years my family and I have cut down the gift giving to one another. We do a secret santa every year and give each other one thing that we really want! I am the mischievous one every year who goes around on the prowl trying to figure out who everyone has. Some times it gets so intense I have to make flow charts. Either way I always figure it out so I consider my antics a success.
The malls tend to get crazy and crowded during the Christmas season, so to avoid the madness I have come up with a solution. I either order my gifts online so I can shop in the comfort of my own home, or I shop in November. Brilliant right? Plus with all the Christmas parties and Christmas events that go on in December, there is never enough time to hit that mall!
I love dressing up and going shopping for new cloths and even accessories. I have a ton of accessories and I wish I wore them more often because I think statement necklaces are stunning, as well as a beautiful set of glamorous earrings. Unfortunately, in this section I am a Plain Jane day-to-day. I wear the same jewellery pieces everyday and one thing I never leave the house with is my watch! I love myself a good watch and frankly I use it more than my phone! Many people now a days don’t rely on their watch to tell hem the time, but for me I consider myself old fashion. Nothing like a good old watch to tell time! โ๏ธ
