It’s that awkward time of year where everyone is trying to look for those transitional summer to fall pieces. I love shirt dresses. Shirt dresses for fall for perfect transitional season pieces. I especially love this royal blue colour. You can throw on a dark coloured jacket or coat, a pair of knee high boots, and you have yourself the cutest fall outfit!
As you all know, we can never have too many dresses in their closets, especially when you can think of various perfect style combos from office to casual wear. I know many of us aren’t headed into the office these days. However, when I myself was in the office, shirt dresses were perfect.
With a basic shirt dress like mine, you can set the tone of the outfit with simple accessories and shoes. If your dress does not come with a belt you can absolutely add one to help define your waist. You can update the basic look by adding a nice belt. It can be either a skinny one that will make you look modern, or you can go for a thick, wide one to look more vintage inspired. My favourite accessory to this outfit is the silk square scarf. I love silk squares and I have styled them so many different ways throughout the years on my blog.
