Stepping outside of the city for a day is a great feeling. I love living the city life but visiting local Ontario farms and wineries is so fun. This was our first trip outside of Toronto since quarantine. When we entered into Phase 2 of quarantine, patios became open and more things started to reopen as well.I immediately started to check the hours of some of my favourite wineries near Toronto to see if they were open.
Some of our favourite places to visit wineries near the city are in the Niagara region and Prince Edward County region. This time we visited The Grange. We have come here once before in the fall and loved it. One of our favourite attractions of this place was the fact that they offered picnic baskets full of locally baked bread, cheeses and cured meats. Due to the COVID restrictions the were unable to serve food. However, we still took advantage of the wine tasting’s they were serving.
I love tasting and savouring new flavour of wines. Last time we were at The Grange I tried their Pinot Noir. It is the perfect fall and wintery drink. Perfect for a cozy night in. This time I wanted more of a summery and fun drink so I tried their Rosé. The colour of the glass may be misleading and thinking it is a red wine, however its not! It’s a funky wine with an earthy finish and very delicious!
