Embroidery is something that has been around a long time. In fact it is something that can be traced all the way back to the Iron Age of human civilization! I don’t know about you but floral pieces are always a must for me in my closet all year round. During any season I always find a way to fit floral into my outfits. It is such a versatile and colourful pattern to mix and match with. Today’s floral pieces are all embroidery, which I find to be very flattering. I decided to take three different pieces and style them with three different outfits to help give you guys an idea on how to wear them for different occasions.
We are seeing embroidery floral everywhere this season and they are very easy to style. They give an outfit a pop of colour and edge of style! In my last outfit you will see that the embroidered print on the jacket really brings the outfit together and gives it a high fashion look to help bring the outfit together. Grabbing pieces like a statement jacket can really make styling basics easy and making ‘boring’ outfits fun and exciting.
When trying to style this type of look, try combining wool, cotton, leather, satin, velvet and denim to give your look a more individualized style. Whether you add texture for accents or as a focal point, your embroidery trend will for sure be fresh and trendy this season.
The first outfit is very relaxed and laid back. I decided to pair this Zara oversized floral button-up shirt with these American Eagle loose fit denim jeans. I love pairing jeans with button down shirts because it helps to give you a chic look while also being comfortable and trendy. I added these black loafers from Winners to finish off the look and added this red bag from Zara to help bring out the floral colours in the shirt. This outfit is perfect for shopping or running errands and being on the go!
In my second look I found this beautiful cropped sweater at Forever 21 and fell in love with the print. The shirt is similar to a mesh jersey material so it is very breathable for spring and summer. It is a perfect piece to throw on with a pair of jeans or leather pants. These jeans I purchased a while back from H&M (I believe 4 years ago). They are probably one of my favourite pairs of jeans and still fit me really well. I love the medium wash colour they have. I was feeling a little more adventurous with this outfit and paired it with this white studded bag from Zara. The lock at the front is in the shape of a Bull which I feel helps give the look a little bit of an edgy style which I love! To finish the look I paired it with some simple black sling backs from Zara as well. These shoes are really comfy and perfect for any outfit. I really like the caged detailing at the front of the shoe. It helps give it a different shape and pattern to spice up the outfit.
The third outfit is by far my favourite one! I absolutely love this jacket. I wish I could wear it all day every day. When I was shopping online for this jacket the pattern quickly caught my eye and thought to myself “I must have this jacket”! It has been love at first sight ever since. This is a piece we defiantly won’t be seeing the last of. I feel you can wear it casually but also dress it up for a night out! Which is why I decided to style this outfit with a light tank from Boohoo.com and some simple straight leg pants from H&M. This year I am loving the 7/8th length pants. They aren’t too short or too long and they are really flattering around the ankles. This lengths helps to show off a stylish shoe and elongate your legs. Since it was an outfit for a night out I paired it with these studded Steve Madden slip-on’s. I was walking downtown with my boyfriend wearing these shoes on a sunny day and he was so surprised at how sparkly they were! I absolutely love them! Give me some sparkle and some floral and I am one happy gal!
**Also don’t be scared to mix and match patterns!! Fashion should be fun and creative and a way to express your style and artistic side. So I added this striped Kate Spade clutch to bring it all together. I find patterns such as stripes and poka dots really easy to style because they are really simple and classy patterns.
Hope you enjoyed this! Let me know how to style your embroidery floral pieces!
Ciao for now ! 🙂
