Happy Friday everyone!
Today’s “How To Style” post is not a trend we have not seen before. The pleated skirt has evolved and been around for a long time and is constantly going to be a “Must-Have” in our closets. One inspirational individual, who is no stranger to the world of fashion, is Victoria Beckham. The woman knows how to dress up or dress now a beautiful pleated skirt and make it look fabulous! For me, I love wearing pleated skirts in the spring, summer, or fall. Currently with the warm weather arising and cold winter weather shifting away, I am welcoming the easy-breezy skirt back into my closet. Pleated skirts are so easy to dress up for a special event, dress down for a fun summers day, or dress it more conservatively for a more business appropriate look. Luckily, for your benefits, I have paired three different looks and outfits to help inspire your ways to style pleated skirts!
Outfit#1
With my first look I decided to go for a softer looking palette of colours for spring. This outfit is perfect for a Sunday afternoon tea with your grandmother, or if you need to attend an event such as a bridal shower, baby shower, or garden party. We all know Spring is the wedding season, and this is a perfect outfit inspiration example. I love mix and matching different shades of nudes to help bring out different colour accents together in one look. I paired this white lace top with a double layer puffy sleeve to help bring a dramatic and elegant look to the outfit. My favourite part of the outfit is the shimmer pink skirt… yes you guessed it… this is “Maria’s Touch”. There is no shame in a little sparkle to help brighten your day. Amiright ladies? 🙂 I finished off the outfit with nude coloured shoes and handbag and soft sequence jewelry.

Outfit #2
Where do I even begin with this outfit? How about how FUN and COLOURFUL this is! Its by far my favourite look. I am one who loves colour and loves to mix and match different colours together in one outfit. This piece is perfect for the summer. An afternoon out with friends, a park picnic, or even a fun night out dancing with the girls! I love how to purple tank compliments the tangerine coloured skirt. I couldn’t stop experimenting with colours here so I added this blue beaded statement necklace and green pom pom purse (which I ADORE). This purse is definitely “Maria’s Touch” . I love everything about this purse. The colours in the pom poms around the purse help to bring together the purple and tangerine colours in the outfit. I decided to finish off the outfit with a gold sandal to compliment the cold chain accents in the purse.

Outfit #3
This last outfit is really classic and its easy to throw on with a blazer and off you go to the office. I like the simplicity of this outfit as well as all the different elements complimenting each other as well. I love how the emerald green in the top helps to bring out the rose gold details in the necklace. It really helps to emphazise the sparkle and glitter! My favourite part of the outfit is the bag. How cute is that bag? It was such an amazing find! This was definitely “Maria’s Touch” to the outfit. I feel the different prints and the beaded detail really help to bring the outfit together and give the outfit an element to fun and as added pattern as well.
