If you are a pasta lover but want to skip out on those carbs then this recipe is defiantly the recipe for you! I have been wanting to try Zucchini pasta for so long and I am so happy I did because it is absolutely delicious and the best part is, it tastes almost exactly like pasta. What more can you ask for? This yummy and tasty recipe will satisfy your taste buds. Fun fact one zucchini contains only 33 calories, compared to a serving of 2 cups of wheat pasta which contains 90 calories. Zucchini also provides you with a huge source of maganese, vitamin C, and dietary fiber. It is so easy to make and doesn’t take alot of time for preparation either. Especially on those long days when you want something quick, instead of going to the drive through just whip up this 5-10 minute recipe!
- 1 Zucchini
- 2 Cups Homemade Tomato Sauce
- Parmesan Cheese to Taste
-
Clean and wash the zucchini & Cut off the ends of each one
-
Place the zucchini on a grader or a spiral cutter. If you decide you use the spiral cutter instead of a shredder make sure to cut up the long pieces so its easier to eat and twirl
-
Cook/heat up tomato sauce. (I used homemade sauce.. Stay tuned for that recipe)
-
Mix in the cut up zucchini and mix it together and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes until the zucchini starts to soften
-
Sprinkle a little bit of Parmesan cheese and prepare to serve!
