When you hear someone dressing feminine you hear words like “polished” and “put together“. Dressing feminine is dressing in way that enhances flowing silhouettes , flattering fits, and intricate details. I am not one to dress in dark colours. I love the look and style warm and soft colours give to a look. Colours such as pastels of the pinks, purples, blues and yellows are my favourite to play around with. Feminine detailing with things such as bows, ruffles, pleats and lace really help to complete a feminine look.
One of my favourite feminine type patterns are florals. I love a beautiful vintage floral pattern. One of my favourite pieces was this floral piece I styled this past winter. I loved the darker and richer colours. Even though this may not be your typical feminine colour palette the darker richer colours are beautiful for the fall and winter months.
In today’s outfit, one of my favourite feminine detailing are the sleeves and bows. This hat that I purchased from ASOS was very affordable. I have been wanting to add a straw hat with a bow in my closet for a few years now. I either could not find an affordable one, or if I did, it did not ship to Canada. So, I decided to purchase a roll of ribbon and create my own. This little lady is the prettiest thing I own 🎀 . The sleeves give me a retro vibe that I am totally obsessing over.
