Wearing plaid in the fall is like wearing florals in the spring. It’s nothing new yet it still never gets old. This year I think I have outdone myself with the number of plaid items I have stocked up on for the season. For instance, this plaid coat I wore to The Grange Winery. I got so many compliments on it and it is also wool blend so it manages to keep me extra cozy on the chillier fall days. This plaid dress and this plaid dress are the cutest! They are both very similar in style but very different as well. I have been wearing them nonstop throughout the fall so far!
This outfit is a pretty classic style for fall. Over the knee boots are a fan favourite and a season staple all around. I particularly love this look because I stepped a bit out of my comfort zone with this one. I am not a mustard yellow person. I wish I liked it but something about it turns me off. However, once I saw this plaid skirt, I immediately fell in love. Something about it caught my eye and thought to myself “well you don’t have anything in your closet similar to this so try it“. I did and I loved it! I always preach to my friends and family that before you shut anything down you should always try things on!
I think it’s safe to say I taught myself my own lesson! But I think the real reason I fell for this cute number is that it reminded me of clueless. No? Just me? 😂 With Halloween just around the corner, I think I might have to get a little creative 😜
