Summer is slowly coming to an end and as much as it saddens me to put away my summer wardrobe I can’t help but get excited about fall. Every year I look at my wardrobe and identify the new summer items I purchased that I made really good use of. For myself, I love shopping and buying new pieces for summer and adding to my wardrobe. Accessories, on the other hand, are something that usually stay the same and are more of my staple pieces for the season. I find that if you keep your accessories neutral you are able to transition them throughout the season and swear them with so many different outfits. My top 5 favourite summer purchases have been wedges, statement earrings, straw hats, rattan bags, and hair scarves. Scroll down to see how I have styled them throughout the summer.
Statement earrings are the one item of jewellery I love accentuate. They are so fun and add a dash of glitz and glamour to every outfit. My favourite earrings from the summer have to be the ones I wore in Charleston on our first night out. They are so fun and colourful and can go with almost any outfit! These gold ones here have also been a staple of mine. The gold colour makes it easy to style with any night outfit. If you want to see more I have listed my top 5 earrings I loved for spring.
Being able to find that one bag that can transition from outfit to outfit without even thinking about it is very necessary. I am the type of girl who is always in a rush and sometimes I don’t have time to switch all of my belongings from bag to bag. I love being able to have everything in one place and having to grab and go. You can see how I styled my rattan bag throughout the summer season here, here, and here.
If there is one thing that I have definitely got its bank for its buck are my Soludos wedges. I think I have literally worn these everywhere and brought them on every single trip with me this summer. They pass all the check marks from comfortable, affordable, versatile, and they come in so many beautiful colours. You can see how I have styled them here, here, and here.
I was never much of a hat person growing up, maybe it’s because I never realized how cute they make every outfit look. I have purchased one hat this entire summer that I have been able to wear and style in so many of my outfits this summer. This straw hat is not only very affordable but absolutely adorable!
